Blog post: running with Mo Farah

A few months ago soon after joining The Succeed Foundation as an intern, I thought I would sign up to do the BUPA 10K. The last sort of running challenge that I signed up for was a 5K run four years ago which was part of the centenary celebrations for my college at university. I wanted to run the 10K because I wanted to challenge myself, fundraise for The Succeed Foundation and try to improve my fitness!

Towards the end of April, I decided it would be a good idea to start training. Since then I have been on a few runs, gradually increasing the distance.  Thankfully, I have a great friend who was keen to get running as well, having someone to run with makes it all the more fun and easier to keep going.  Unfortunately, she isn’t able to do the BUPA 10K, but hopefully in the future we’ll be able to do a longer challenge!

With just one week left to go, race bibs acquired and running pack received, I’m aiming for a couple more runs and lots of sleep. It’s rather bizarre to think we’ll be running in the same race as Mo Farah….but I doubt I’ll see him!
